The colours of loving each other. A mother (Maria Fois Landone) transforms mourning for the loss of her beloved daughter, snatched from life at the age of 37, into a venture full of colours and generous volunteers. An irreparable illness and the will to build a special memory linked to their daughter's most beloved flower. All this gave rise to the largest tulip garden in Italy: two hundred thousand flowers in thirty rows, an extensive cultivation visited by 50,000 people in recent years. The proceeds from the sale of the flowers and bulbs are used to support research and training on ovarian cancer and to equip Sardinian health facilities with effective tools to make early diagnoses locally without having to migrate to specialised centres on the continent. "I seek solace in the beauty of nature," says Maria, "which creates wonderful and extraordinary spectacles. Visit the site
