
Borghi Sibillini
The Borghi Sibillini project involves 10 municipalities of the Sibillini Mountain Union straddling the provinces of Ascoli Piceno and Fermo. The ambition is to initiate a process of growth of the Marche region and make its unique places rediscovered. The project won the prize in kind of the 2021 edition of our call for proposals, winning the advice and support of RobilantAssociati.
The RobilantAssociati team started a rebranding and communication work that would present the unique traits of the individual villages and at the same time find the common traits with the intention of creating a system.
The challenge undertaken by the Borghi Sibillini under the strategic consultancy of RobilantAssociati is actually a broader challenge involving several steps, and the work on the graphic identity is the first indispensable step, the fuse that starts a more complex process with even more ambitious goals.
We started with an initial short-term requirement: to make the Monti Sibillini known, telling a story capable of capturing a distinctive and relevant specificity for the public.
The idea is that in the medium term the Monti Sibillini area will become a tourist destination of reference, but also a possible location for an extended stay. This means working on the cultural palimpsest and sports offers in a coordinated manner.
The ultimate goal remains for the villages to repopulate the area, keeping the genius loci of the place alive and authentic.
From a strategic point of view, two different directions were identified: finding the peculiarities of each village and tracing their common points with the intention of creating a system.
The first response was a logo. To arrive at the logo RobilantAssociati over the months conducted various surveys in the villages, tried to capture the uniqueness of each one, and involved the citizens with targeted questionnaires. The chosen logo is based on the idea of ‘Arcipelago Verde’ (Green Archipelago), referring to the fertile sea of ‘village-islands’ that stand out in the Marche hinterland: many different islands that, although separate, constitute a single reality, a single network.
The logo and its concept were then used to create a map with a calendar, capable of grouping the experiences and events of the Sibillini villages, thus facilitating their communicability and fruition.
In this way, the ten villages are truly presented as a single reality, a place that is a multitude of places, thus realising the idea behind the project. The complete project is now available on the new site create for the Borghi Sibillini.
In the space of a year, RobilantAssociati succeeded in transforming the ideas and needs of the villages into concrete work, with tangible objectives and results.
