Luigi Zoja: justice and beauty
The concept of beauty among the ancient Greeks was strongly connected to that of justice.
”We can go back to the oldest things we know about the relationship between humans and beauty, thinking of the Greeks, who are the root from which we come. And it is striking that, for the Greeks, justice and beauty were unified. One could not progress without the other one progressing, and so we can say that they were an aspiration towards equilibrium, elevation, excellence.”
Luigi Zoja is considered one the world’s most important and esteemed psychoanalysts, the author of numerous books, one of which, "Justice and Beauty", has been translated into 14 languages and published in much of the world. A former president of the International Association for Analytical Psychology (IAAP). And will today speak to us about Beauty.
