Accademia del Teatro alla Scala
The Accademia del Teatro alla Scala is one of the most authoritative institutions in the world for training professionals working in the great world of theatre, music and dance. It was Arturo Toscanini in the 1950s who gave new impetus to the school with the creation of the ‘Cadetti della Scala’ to create new talent in the Italian opera and dance tradition. In this extraordinary workshop, not only artistic crafts are trained, but also all those professions that the arts make possible, from stage management to set design to management. Today the Academy is transformed into a University and wants to equip itself with a new campus for these ambitious goals: it wants to develop a vast communication activity with new means aimed in particular at the youngest, to expand its educational offerings, to continue research and to transmit from generation to generation the talent, experience and creative and manual skills of the Scala artists.
