DISìO

DISìO is a cultural association that promotes design culture as a tool for civic growth, territorial regeneration, and participation. Based in San Ferdinando, in the Gioia Tauro Plain, it works to foster dialogue between architecture, design, the visual arts, and the community, developing initiatives that connect creativity, research, and active citizenship.

The association organizes initiatives involving professionals, artists, institutions, schools, and citizens, with the goal of creating opportunities for discussion on the themes of territorial transformation, the quality of public space, and the role of culture in social development processes. Through an interdisciplinary approach, DISìO builds networks and fosters community participation, recognizing collaborative design as a tool for innovation and social cohesion.

Among the association’s main initiatives is Visioni Collettive, a cultural program that weaves together meetings, workshops, exhibitions, and publications to stimulate new reflections on the relationship between places, people, and languages. Art thus becomes a space for dialogue and experimentation, capable of fostering relationships, enhancing the local area, and strengthening the community’s sense of belonging.
