Iceman Otzi Peak
Ötzi Peak 'Iceman' is an elevated platform designed by architect Andreas Profanter, located on the Grawand peak, overlooking the Val Senales glacier like a trampoline from a dizzying height. It is one of the highest viewing platforms in Europe (3251 metres) and a breathtaking view opens up in front of it and all around it, a spectacular panorama of 126 peaks over three thousand metres.
It is named in honour of the prehistoric traveller found opposite in the Similaun snowfield in 1991, and whose mummy fascinates visitors and archaeologists at the Bolzano museum.
