Lumen, the museum of mountain photography
The home of mountain photography. At the summit of Plan de Corones, exactly 2275 metres above sea level, in view of Zaha Hadid's museum, stands the 1800 square metre structure that once housed one of the cable car stations. The museum is a snow-coloured piece of architecture, perfectly set in its landscape context, and was designed by architect Gerhard Mahlknech. Today it houses images and material, immersive videos and historical images, all for those with a passion for high-altitude photography, but also a restaurant with large windows, on four floors run by the three-Michelin-starred chef Norbert Niederkofler.
