The Gianni Rodari Parco della Fantasia
In the heart of Omegna, the birthplace of Gianni Rodari, the Parco della Fantasia is a cultural center dedicated to creativity, imagination, and the promotion of reading. Inspired by the work and philosophy of the great writer and educator, the park offers experiences that transform imagination into a tool for knowledge, education, and participation, engaging children, families, schools, and teachers from all over Italy every year.
Managed by the Fondazione Parco delle Arti e della Cultura di Omegna ETS, the park offers a wide range of activities, including workshops, educational tours, guided tours with storytelling, cultural events, and projects dedicated to children and schools. Alongside these educational initiatives, the visitor experience is enriched by interactive installations and exhibition spaces that invite the public to discover Rodari’s universe through play, storytelling, and experimentation.
The promotion of Gianni Rodari’s legacy goes hand in hand with a constant focus on innovation in communication methods and visitor engagement tools. The park fosters an ongoing dialogue between cultural heritage, education, and digital technologies, with the goal of making its content increasingly accessible and offering an engaging experience to diverse audiences, from schools to families.
Through the connection between literature, play, and education, the Gianni Rodari Parco della Fantasia stands today as a leading center for the promotion of children’s culture and creativity education, helping to highlight Omegna’s cultural heritage and keep Gianni Rodari’s message relevant today.
