Va' Sentiero

The walk has reached a historic milestone: it is the first walk in the world to obtain the GSTC Destination (Global Sustainable Tourism Council) certification, a guarantee of sustainability and social responsibility in tourism.

Monte Bibele archeological park and Monterenzio museum
An archaeological park dedicated to pre-Roman Etruscan-Italic culture
The archaeological park contains archaeological finds unearthed during excavation campaigns on Monte Bibele and Monterenzio Vecchio, as well as finds from the local area. It is considered one of the most important Italian and European museums on pre-Roman Etruscan-Italic culture and Celtic weaponry.

The archaeological museum in Monterenzio is the only one in Italy entirely set up and curated by the archaeologists who discovered the finds. It allows visitors to experience a journey into the past, 2,400 years ago, to discover Celtic and Etruscan warriors.

Antonio Gottarelli has worked in the Monte Bibele park for over 50 years. Together with his co-workers, he participated in the excavation of an Etruscan-Celtic site and subsequently created a museum in 2000 and the archaeological park in 2015, in order to visit the findings on site.

The Arc.a Monte Bibele Association was founded by archaeologists such as Federica Proni, Antonio Gottarelli and others to make the Monterenzio archaeological museum and the Monte Bibele archaeological park accesible.
