Jakala adopts Zones Portuaires
Jakala is a MarTech company, i.e. marketing technologies, founded in 2000 by Matteo de Brabant. It is made up of one hundred and twenty highly specialised yet multi-disciplinary figures, with a focus on communication and its real impact on corporate business. Through a strongly data-driven approach and oriented towards the exploration of new channels and forms of interaction, it proposes a range of services covering all the touchpoints of the digital customer experience.
For the 2024 call for proposals Zones Portuaires, an interdisciplinary project dedicated to port cities, which promotes encounters and exchanges between urban space and the world beyond the customs belts, with the aim of contributing to the confrontation between city and port in order to strengthen their bond. Born in Marseille in 2008, since 2015 Zones Portuaires has also landed in Saint-Nazaire, on the Atlantic, and in Genoa. Here, over the years, the festival has evolved into a wide-ranging and ongoing project, configuring itself as a device that activates collaborative research paths between art and science, through an approach that involves port communities in all phases of co-design.
The port identity is unveiled through the extraordinary opening to the public of normally inaccessible operating sites, where it is enhanced through explorations, navigations, art installations, performances, conferences, meetings, exhibitions. The contamination between events and languages stimulates the interest of a vast and differentiated public, including citizens and visitors of all ages and backgrounds, and triggers new dynamics of interaction between public and private entities. In Genoa Zones Portuaires is curated by U-BOOT Lab.
