The Mirasole Abbey
Just outside Milan, in the town of Opera, the Mirasole Abbey is one of the most significant fortified monastic complexes in Lombardy. Founded in the 13th century, it preserves an important historical and architectural heritage that bears witness to the role it has played over the centuries as a place of spirituality, agricultural work, and hospitality.
