The Lombardy Design Museums Circuit
The Museo Diffuso del Design is a cultural itinerary that spans five provinces in Lombardy, connecting museums, archives, and sites linked to the history of design and modern architecture. This heritage is spread throughout the region, allowing visitors to discover design not as something confined to a single space, but as part of the history and identity of entire cities and regions.
The itinerary includes the museums and museum-archives of the Lombardy Design Museums Circuit, along with buildings, architectural works, and other cultural assets that bear witness to the evolution of design and design culture in Lombardy. Collections, objects, archives, and architectural works thus become stops along a broader narrative, one of creativity, innovation, and material culture.
A dispersed museum without a single boundary, to be explored through different locations and through the traces that design has left on the Lombard landscape. A way to get to know the region from an original perspective and discover how design has helped shape its cultural and industrial history.
