Piano City Lecce
In Lecce, music spills out of concert halls and flows through the city. Piano City Lecce is a festival that brings Italian and international pianists to a wide variety of locations throughout the city—from iconic venues in the downtown area to the outskirts, and even to unusual spots—transforming the city into one large, widespread stage.
For a few days, free concerts open to everyone bring together classical, jazz, and pop music, creating a dialogue between the piano and Lecce’s urban heritage. The festival thus highlights not only the music but also the places and people that make up the city, involving local organizations, institutions, associations, and community groups.
Special attention is given to the younger generations through educational activities and opportunities to engage with music. Piano City Lecce transforms the beauty of music into a shared experience, bringing culture out of its traditional venues and making it accessible to the entire community: an opportunity for connection, learning, and growth through music.
