Francescani for culture
Franciscans for Culture is a project in which the Italian Province of St. Anthony of Padua of the Friars Minor Conventual has dedicated a lot to, with the aim of fostering the knowledge and appreciation of its cultural heritage, which includes numerous centres throughout north-central Italy (Padua, Bologna, Parma, Brescia, Venice, Ravenna).
Through this project, the aim is to create a coordinated system of places, events, and experiences that recounts and speaks of the human, spiritual and artistic beauty that Francis of Assisi and Anthony of Padua left behind on their journey and that over the centuries has been and continues to be transmitted and updated by the Franciscan community. A widespread material and immaterial cultural heritage that deserves to be known and understood in its uniqueness and fullness, re-appropriated by local communities and discovered for new audiences.
