L'Eroica
The Devils' Race. From Gaiole in Chianti, it covers 209 kilometres of white and asphalt roads, covered with bicycles and old uniforms. This is the extraordinary charm of the Eroica, a race of the past that has become a phenomenon of custom over the years. No futuristic equipment, no supplements and calorie bars. A race in which (after fatigue) ribollita, tortelli, salumi and red wine are the main stars. Don't call it a race, everyone wins, you come to say ‘I was there’. Without forgetting fatigue, the substance of a sport that is also a metaphor for life.
