Mini mu: the children's museum in Trieste

Atlas of Beauty /
HealthEvent, Story
A place without borders. A place of children and for children, in the countryside, with areas that can be used for workshops, exhibitions and theatre. A small institution that, with its activities, wants to reaffirm the creative and relational value of the relationship between families, schools, associations, arts and professions, in the name of childhood well-being. In the museum spaces, this encounter between culture, didactics, citizenship and the discovery of the territory is invigorated by the creative processes, by the 'workshops' for playing with art triggered many years ago in Milan by the most playful of Italian designers: Bruno Munari. The museum's location in the San Giovanni Park is functional to the activities of the participants, but it also generates metaphors and memories of the working community that developed in this place around the figure of Franco Basaglia, who used art to cure mental illnesses.
