Ermo Colle
Ermo Colle is a festival dedicated to theater, poetry, and music that, since 2003, has been bringing the Parma area to life with a program spread across villages, parish churches, historic courtyards, gardens, and the landscapes of the Apennines. The event was created with the goal of promoting cultural and environmental heritage through the performing arts, fostering a dialogue between live performance and the identity of these places.
Each edition features a schedule of shows, talks, and performances involving established artists and emerging voices on the contemporary scene, with a focus on experimental theater, poetry, music, and themes of social engagement. The relationship between the audience, the artists, and the local area is one of the event’s defining features, transforming sites of particular historical and scenic interest into spaces for gathering and participation.
Ermo Colle helps promote widespread and sustainable cultural engagement, highlighting the tangible and intangible heritage of the province of Parma and fostering dialogue between local communities and visitors. It is a project that combines culture, landscape, and participation, making theater an opportunity to rediscover the region.
