MITO per la Città
MITO per la Città is the widespread, community-focused series of MITO SettembreMusica that brings classical music into the spaces of everyday life in Turin, transforming healthcare facilities, educational institutions, and community centers into opportunities for people to come together and listen to music. Promoted by the Fondazione per la Cultura Torino, the series was created with the belief that music can be a common good, capable of reaching diverse audiences and fostering new forms of cultural participation.
With free concerts in schools, hospitals, care facilities, neighborhoods, and other locations throughout the city, MITO per la Città builds a direct relationship between artists, young musicians, and the community. The program brings together established performers and emerging talents, offering opportunities for connection in settings often far removed from traditional cultural circuits and experimenting with new ways of experiencing music.
Over time, the festival has become a model of cultural welfare, where the artistic experience intertwines with inclusion, care, and connection. Its strength lies in its ability to bring music to life throughout the city, creating connections between people and places and demonstrating how culture can contribute to the quality of daily life.
