The University of Verona Museo del Contemporaneo
The University of Verona Museum of Contemporary Art, established in 2025 as the Museum Center for Contemporary Art and Languages, promotes the understanding and appreciation of contemporary art through a distributed museum model that integrates artworks, research, and education within the university’s spaces. Conceived as a meeting place for different disciplines, the Museum fosters dialogue between the visual arts, scientific culture, and university education, making art an integral part of the daily experience of the academic community and the city.
The Museum was established thanks to a donation of over 110 works by Italian and international contemporary artists from the Veronese collectors Anna and Giorgio Fasol and the AGI Verona association, a collection that has enabled the University of Verona to develop one of the most significant university centers dedicated to contemporary art in Italy.
Through exhibitions, research, cultural initiatives, and interdisciplinary projects, the Museum of Contemporary Art promotes new ways of engaging with artistic heritage and helps strengthen the relationship between the university, the local area, and the community. It is a space open to the exchange of contemporary languages, knowledge, and practices, where art becomes an opportunity for learning, participation, and cultural innovation.
