The Andromeda Theatre
A marvel of stone. The theatre stands in the territory of Santo Stefano di Quisquina on the slopes of the Sicani mountains at an altitude of 1,000 metres. It was built by a shepherd artist Lorenzo Reina who moved and collected 108 stone blocks that reproduce in amphitheatre form, in number and arrangement, the stars of the constellation Andromeda. The large work stands on his land, the Fattoria dell'arte, where he raises donkeys as his main activity. When the sun sets on the arched door of the great cavea, the harmony between heaven and earth becomes for a moment, perfect.
