A sea of chairs: the museum Cugini Lanzani
The Cugini Lanzani Museum is a dive into the past and the art of woodworking. With more than 2500 chair models hanging on the walls and in every free space a sea of chairs. It is a company founded in Meda in 1796 with a prestigious and historical model-making archive.
The hall of “samples”, understood as sample books, constitutes the museum and occupies an entire floor of the company. The swatch books have served as inspiration for many craftsmen and architects who have worked in the heart and history of design, and even today you can choose a model and a fabric and the company's craftsmen rework it accurately.
