Sara Ricciardi - Touchée

Sara Ricciardi created ITALOCOSMICA: a reinterpretation of medieval Cosmatesque mosaics – geometric floors and sacred furnishings – as a digital infographic journey through Italy's human and economic landscape. The artist chose to focus on 'added value' as a key parameter. A parameter that reflects the richness of Italy's human and territorial fabric, unlike simple turnover data, which tell a more limited story and overlook the different sectors and collective value that truly characterise the country.

The result is a psychedelic journey of emojis co-generated with AI: today's ideograms become mosaic tiles, visualising the complexity of value creation.

Sara Ricciardi's wearable artwork was created during the 'Italia Pazza' creative residency.  Each canvas is numbered, signed and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.
