Associazione Culturale La Guarimba
The Associazione Culturale La Guarimba promotes the dissemination of film culture and the visual arts as tools for participation, inclusion, and community revitalization. Founded in Amantea, Calabria, it has organized the La Guarimba International Film Festival since 2013—an annual event that brings an international selection of short films, talks, workshops, and community-oriented initiatives to the town, fostering dialogue between cultures and generations.
In addition to the festival, the association develops cultural, educational, and social projects throughout the year that involve citizens, schools, artists, institutions, and local organizations. Through a network of local and international partnerships, La Guarimba promotes the preservation and enhancement of tangible and intangible heritage, helping to strengthen the role of culture as a driver of sustainable development and social cohesion.
