Bienno Borgo Artisti

Bienno Borgo degli Artisti was founded in Val Camonica with the goal of fostering a dialogue between contemporary art, tradition, and the local area, transforming the historic village into a space open to creativity and experimentation. Through artist-in-residence programs, meetings, and cultural activities, the project invites Italian and international artists to live and work alongside the local community, fostering new connections between contemporary practices and historical heritage.

The village of Bienno, known for its long tradition of ironworking and the value of its cultural and landscape heritage, thus becomes a space where past and present meet. The workshops, historic spaces, artisan traditions, and the natural setting of Val Camonica offer artists an environment where research and creative production intertwine with the memory of the place.

Bienno Borgo degli Artisti promotes a vision of culture as a shared experience, capable of engaging residents, visitors, and new generations. Contemporary art becomes a tool for enhancing the region’s identity, strengthening the sense of community, and generating new forms of participation, thereby contributing to the cultural vitality of one of Lombardy’s most significant villages.
