Fondazione Artistica Museo Poldi Pezzoli
The Poldi Pezzoli Museum is a house museum in Milan founded by the collector Gian Giacomo Poldi Pezzoli, who, in the 19th century, made his collections available to the public. Housed in the historic family residence, the museum preserves one of Italy’s most important private art collections, comprising paintings, sculptures, decorative arts, weapons, clocks, jewelry, textiles, and furnishings that chronicle the history of collecting and European artistic production.
In addition to safeguarding and preserving its collections, the Poldi Pezzoli Museum promotes research, exhibitions, educational programs, and outreach initiatives aimed at diverse audiences. Through guided tours, workshops, and cultural mediation tools, the museum fosters a deeper understanding of the artistic heritage, highlighting the dialogue between the works, the history of the house museum, and the cultural context in which they are situated.
