Le stanze della fotografia: la casa delle immagini

Le stanze della Fotografia is a centre for the promotion of photography and the culture of the image, an initiative of Marsilio Arte and the Cini Foundation located on the Island of San Giorgio Maggiore in Venice. The project is born in continuity with the path begun at the Casa dei Tre Oci, where Marsilio Arte has managed activities for more than ten years, hosting exhibitions by great Italian and international photographers. The new exhibition and research centre opened in March 2023 aspires to become a real point of reference in the world of photography, offering workshops, meetings, seminars with national and international photographers, alongside exhibitions developed through partnerships with the most prestigious realities in the world of photography.

The Fondazione Le Stanze della Fotografia (The Rooms of Photography Foundation) was created with the support of the Fondazione di Venezia with the aim of training, promoting and disseminating expressions of photographic culture and art, developing projects to encourage creativity and the creation of a community of enthusiasts.

Through a series of initiatives, the Foundation seeks to inspire, educate and engage both emerging and established artists, creating a global community of photography enthusiasts. Educational activities, with workshops for schools and courses for families, young people and adults, involve various audiences in the discovery of photography and its protagonists. An annual schedule of events that deepens the culture of the image and encourages dialogue through seminars, workshops, talks in collaboration with the most important Italian and international museums, galleries and cultural institutions. Competition for young photographers, an opportunity for photographers under 30 to develop a new generation of talent in the world of photography.
