Museum of Children's Notebooks
The cultural association Quaderni Aperti APS-ETS promotes the collection, preservation, and promotion of school notebooks as part of our historical heritage and as a testament to daily life, education, and society. Through the Museum of Children's Notebooks, a collection of documents from several generations of students is preserved, offering a unique perspective on the history of Italian schools through the writings, drawings, and experiences shared by children.
Born from a participatory, grassroots initiative, the museum combines research, memory, and outreach, making accessible a heritage that is often little known but rich in cultural and social value. Through exhibitions, educational programs, and digital tools, Quaderni Aperti fosters dialogue between the past and the present, engaging schools, families, scholars, and communities. The association’s cultural project thus contributes to the preservation of collective memory and to highlighting the voices of young people as an integral part of the country’s history.
