Padova's Botanical Garden
It is the oldest botanical garden in the world that has remained in its original location. It houses 6000 species of plants of various types, from medicinal to poisonous. A UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1997, it covers an area of around two and a half hectares. In 2014, the Biodiversity Garden, a state-of-the-art greenhouse where 1,300 plants from all climates of the planet are cultivated, was inaugurated inside.
