Departures and arrivals in the world of art. The Stazione dell'Arte is a contemporary art museum, in the heart of Ogliastra, dedicated to the work of Maria Lai following the artist's donation of a corpus of over one hundred and forty works to her hometown. The museum is housed in the premises of the former railway station, located downstream from the village. The choice of location lends itself well to communicating one of the most cherished intents of the artist's work, the encounters and stories that unfold in life; the idea is to stitch the world together with stories, to weave hope.
