The angel's flight

Flying over the Lucanian Dolomites. There are facilities for 'flying' in two villages in the Lucanian Dolomites that are among the most beautiful in Italy and among the highest in Lucania: Castelmezzano and Pietrapertosa (1,088 metres). You can fly alone or with a loved one. Safely tied and hooked to a steel cable, you fly across, suspended between sky and earth, at a height of 118 to 130 metres, an untouched, rugged and beautiful territory, made up of rocks and woods and villages set in the mountains like small, ancient jewels. A fascinating experience usually the prerogative only of winged creatures. Once you get down to earth, you can visit the ancient villages, walk along the paths (the seven-stone route) and the vie ferrate, get lost in the narrow streets and try the typical dishes of the local restaurants: strangolapreti and cavatelli to your heart's content.
