The Librino door
An immense work of art. In fact, it is the door of the neighbourhood, the one that collects the works and the redemption intentions of a community that is trying to fight degradation with art and music. Commissioned by the entrepreneur and artist Antonio Presti, it is made by fifty artists in collaboration with the neighbourhood schools working with terracotta (more than nine thousand tiles). They have transformed the two sides of an anonymous flyover into a Door of Beauty. It is a work of art but also a work of collective education. In the darkness of the tunnel and on the free walls there are a thousand photos of the inhabitants of the neighbourhood and the words of the Canticle of the Creatures that recall the identity of the places and the protagonists of this story. The new work will be called ‘Porta delle Farfalle’, a kilometre-long terracotta work, a true wall dedicated to the soul.
