The Mountain Museum in Corones
Looking up. It is a futuristic museum dedicated to mountaineering, commissioned by Reinhold Messner and designed by Zaha Hadid. It was inaugurated after months of work at the limits of what is possible and, in fact, has all the characteristics of a heroic undertaking: both for its location and for the boldness of its structures. It stands on the summit of Kronplatz at an altitude of 2,275 meters, a futuristic structure of concrete and large windows with a balcony overlooking the precipice and the most beautiful mountains of South Tyrol.
