The Oil Can Museum
A colourful souvenir. Inside a 17th-century oil mill above Imperia is a unique collection of more than 6,000 metal oil containers made between the end of the 19th century and the early decades of the 20th century. As oil accompanied the history of the great migrations that emptied our country, the museum is also an extraordinary tale of when we were migrants and a colourful representation of the symbols that memory associated with the ’bel paese’ (beautiful country).
