The Oropa walk

Atlas of Beauty /
StoryTerritorial Development, Trails
An itinerary for the spirit. The idea is to promote, in times of conscious tourism and proximity, the Sanctuary of Oropa, a Unesco site since 2003, and the path that leads to this place of worship, dedicated to the Black Madonna, with the Biellese Alps surrounding it. The route was devised by Alberto Conte, founder of the Movimento Lento Association, and is a great little journey through a beautiful and surprising territory, offering great emotions. It starts from Santhià Quattro, and in four stages (14/16 km per day), it reaches Oropa. You can then extend the route to the Canavese area on the way to two other sanctuaries, Graglia and Belmonte.
