The Peruzzo Foundation in Padova
Sant’Agnese is an extraordinary example of a recovered space in Padua. The Fondazione Alberto Peruzzo has carefully nrestored it and inaugurated it with an exhibition curated by Riccardo Caldura. It is a project that brings together different members of the art scene, bringing together paintings from the 17th and 18th centuries (such as the altarpiece by Giandomenico Tiepolo) and works by contemporary artists, including Jannis Kounellis, Tapies, Dubuffet, Manzoni, Fontana and Nitsch.
The intention, pursued primarily by entrepreneur Alberto Peruzzo, is to promote the languages of art by placing them in constant dialogue with each other and with the historical component of Veneto's heritage. Having reached the end of its reconversion, the thirteenth-century church transforms its aisle into a space dedicated to temporary installations and its sacristy into a room where the Foundation's rich collection will be housed (in rotation).
