A village reborn with scarecrows. Vendersi is a small village surrounded by greenery in Val Borbera, two young women with their creations have transformed it into the village of scarecrows, creatures that look alive from afar but are old clothes filled with straw, wooden ears of corn and wool. There are now sixty scarecrows in the fields, and they also sit together at the bar. The creatures add to the unspoilt nature and the great abbey of San Pietro, one of the oldest in Piedmont, another reason to take a trip and stop for a bite to eat. The sculptures that enliven the village attract schoolchildren and excursionists, and the two promoters of the initiative are planning to make Vendersi a scarecrow festival with a prize for the best "artists" who try to master this particular genre.
