The Wonderful Fiemme Community
A forest in common. The community of Fiemme is a public body of historical origin. Since 1111 it has managed a significant forest and property heritage. The entire heritage is subject to civic uses, property of the Community of Neighbours, the residents in the area. The Community has its headquarters in the imposing Renaissance palace in Cavalese with its painted façade. Heir to the ancient tradition of common property, it administers and governs a large forest heritage (12,000 hectares) of certified forests and malghe (shepherd's huts) in order to preserve their nature and develop their use.
