Barch Art
Barch Art is an artistic cycling and walking trail that crosses the Fonzaso plain in the Belluno Dolomites, transforming the rural landscape into an immersive contemporary art experience. Promoted by Dolomiti Hub in collaboration with Arte Sella, the project highlights fourteen ancient barch — traditional agricultural structures of the area—reinterpreting them through the work of poet and artist Ivan Tresoldi.
Along the route, words, symbols, and anamorphic visions interact with the rural architecture and landscape, bringing to life stories, memories, and identities tied to the local communities. The work unfolds harmoniously among fields, rows of mulberry trees, and trails, inviting visitors to rediscover a region where nature, history, and culture intertwine.
Barch Art offers a slow, participatory way of experiencing the landscape, transforming the hike into an opportunity to engage with the valley’s tangible and intangible heritage. Through the language of contemporary art, the project helps revitalize places and memories, strengthening the bond between community, environment, and creativity.
