Bosco Albergati, the city of trees
In 1990, architect and designer Cesare Leonardi, a passionate scholar of nature as architecture, conceived "the City of Trees", a project aimed at transforming the stately garden around the ruins of the ancient Villa Albergati (the small one, to distinguish it from the large one in Zola Predosa) into a large park open to the public. Four hectares of woodland that dozens of volunteers have filled, beyond the confines of the historic garden, with new plantings, based on a design by Leonardi. A new urban park; one of the most important green lungs in the region, designed to be inhabited, lived in and made available to the community to host its festivals and gatherings. Go to the site.
