Landscape Festival di Capri
Every year in September, the Festival del Paesaggio is held in the spaces of Villa San Michele and in various places in the historic centre of Anacapri.
In the last edition, the programme was inspired by the artistic climate that was created on Capri in the late 19th and early 20th century thanks to the presence of figures such as Marchesa Casati Stampa, J. Fersen, A. Munthe and G. Clavel. Each edition includes site-specific installations, special projects, public art interventions and artistic residencies. Through the cult of beauty, aestheticism and nature, the programme draws on the 'dandy' style that characterised the island last century. Since 2012, the cultural association Il Rosario has been promoting the encounter between nature and art through the festival and promoting contemporary artistic culture together with the Fondazione Axel Munthe - Villa San Michele. The headquarters of the association are in Rome and the secondary office in Anacapri.
