Lucciole: shedding light on culture
The associazione Fedora has been promoting ‘Fireflies: Let's shed light on culture’ since 2018. Fedora is an association founded in Milan that promotes accessibility to cultural events, with particular attention to people with sensory disabilities.
The association aims to generate the preconditions for a more accessible cultural life for all and everyone and to educate society on a new approach to disability and accessibility, paying particular attention to children. Among the projects underway, Lucciole is working to bring boys and girls between the ages of 6 and 11 in situations of fragility and disability closer to the cultural places of the territories in which they live (from the Art Nouveau of Porta Venezia to the murals of Ortica), through guided tours and workshops that give space and importance to the child as an individual capable of building and creating. The itineraries will be enhanced by the possibility of using tools to amplify the experience designed in collaboration with MUBA (Children's Museum of Milan), as well as by the co-creation of a guide that encompasses the visit itineraries, stimulating the creativity of the participants and constituting a valid instrument of cultural participation for other children and families in the area.
