Mustras

Mustras is a cultural project promoted by the Abbicultura Association that brings together contemporary art, architecture, design, and craftsmanship to explore new ways of narrating and interpreting Sardinia’s heritage. Through collaboration among artists, designers, and local artisans, Mustras develops research initiatives that highlight traditional knowledge as tools for reflecting on contemporary living and the relationship between people, places, and communities.

At the heart of the project lies the convergence of diverse languages and skills: the island’s artisanal heritage becomes a living canvas for experimentation, capable of engaging with contemporary artistic and design practices. Each project emerges from a deep engagement with the local areas and their stories, giving rise to works, installations, and collaborative processes that offer fresh perspectives on Sardinia’s cultural landscape.
