Palazzo Merulana
An extraordinary collection dedicated to art, located inside a building with an adventurous past caught between bombings and demolitions. Built on the Esquiline in 1929, it once housed the Ufficio di Igiene, today it has been completely restored and refurbished and hosts the art collection of the Roman school assembled over the years by Elena and Claudio Cerasi (Mafai, Donghi, De Chirico, Balla) with significant inserts by contemporary artists (Ceroli, Pugliese, Penone).
The Foundation attracs young artists and involves citizens, associations and engages different communities in its activities. From the penthouse and terrace there is a splendid view of the roofs and domes of Rome.
