The megalithic area of Aosta

Atlas of Beauty /
MemoryEvent, Story
The area, brought to light in 1969 by chance, extends over approximately one hectare and reveals one of the most interesting archaeological sites of European prehistory. The site of Saint-Martin-de-Corléans, located in the western part of the city of Aosta, lies close to a medieval church from which it takes its name and allows, through a long descending corridor, to take an extraordinary journey back in time 6000 years. The route moves like a film set, but the peculiarity of this experience is that real finds (from the Neolithic to the Bronze Age) are on the scene, enhanced by extremely rigorous historical-scientific layouts and with the aid of the most modern technologies such as touch screens, laser beams, talking captions and reconstructive graphics, to immerse visitors in a sensorial and cognitive experience with a strong emotional impact and a very high cultural value.
