The Carmine and the Theatre
The Teatro Tascabile in Bergamo is working to enhance the Monastero del Carmine, on the northern side of the upper city, developing initiatives and forms of communication capable of bringing new audiences together through the use of inclusive and innovative languages. In 2020, the first restoration was completed on a number of spaces, including the accessibility of the spectacular double-arched cloister. Arcate d'arte is the event that the theatre has built in 2021 to bring the new spaces to life: phantasmagorias of the Orient and guided tours. The initiative is enriched and also takes into account the recognition of Bergamo and Brescia as Italian Capitals of Culture.
