TWM Factory

TWM Factory is an independent cultural association founded in Rome in 2015 that develops research, production, and cultural design projects, exploring the connections between contemporary art, the city, and social transformation. Through an interdisciplinary approach, the association works with artists, institutions, universities, and local communities to experiment with new languages and new ways of inhabiting and narrating territories, with a particular focus on evolving urban contexts.

Over the years, TWM Factory has organized exhibitions, artist residencies, publications, educational programs, and cultural regeneration projects, promoting dialogue between artistic research, participatory practices, and independent publishing. At the heart of its work is a commitment to creating opportunities for exchange that connect disciplines, people, and places, generating new perspectives on the tangible and intangible heritage of cities.

Among the association’s main initiatives is Roma Smistamento, a cultural center and curatorial platform housed in a former railway building, where exhibitions, performances, and research projects dedicated to the capital’s underrepresented neighborhoods take shape. Through this and other projects, TWM Factory continues to build cultural networks and collaborative processes that highlight contemporary creativity as a tool for participation and transformation.
